IMPRTANT NOTE: Please read carefully and follow each step.
1. First, you will have to fulfill five year of FM-3 status. After Five years, your FM-2 Immigration status validates a final letter can be issued granting you the right of "permanent resident" (FM-2 status) you will NOT need to file any more renewals. 2. Provide a current U.S. passport (original) 3. A Bank Trust or (rent/lease agreement).
4. Copy of your last bank statement, either from a U.S. or Mexican account. Accounts must show an average balance of $ 1,200 Dls for a single person or $ 1,800 for a couple.
5. Official government fees are $ 2,801 (pesos) approx. and are payable at any local bank. Plus one time additional government application fee and paper work of $ 669 (pesos) approx.
6. Five black and white photos (FM-3 miniature size ONLY). Three fronts and two right profiles. Please remove your glasses before taking the pictures. We recommend a place in Rosarito to take the proper photos.
7. Marriage Certificate must be translated into the Spanish, plus it must be certified (“Appostilled”) The “Appostille must be done in the State in which where you were married”!
NOTE: With the above documentation, we should have no problem obtain a final FM-2 There is and additional charge for service fees and translating. We are always willing to help fill out your INAMI application (National Institute of Immigration application)
HOWEVER, Immigration local office is granting an special offer to those who have a Bank Trust, to jump you now or at FM3 renewal to an FM2 without the normal waiting of 5 year term of FM3
